CARNIVAL
We have been looking for pictures aboutt Aalst Carnaval’ and we have seen that there are some parades where there are huge representation about funny things and people custome themselves and dance along the street. Here in Spain we do not usually do it when is Carnival. At Carnival we costume ourselves too but we were costumes differents and less spectacular. Here we have competitions where several groups sing about trending topics. If they sing about funny facts they are called “Chirigota”, and if they sing about sad facts they are called “Comparsa”. That of Cadiz is related to the previous videos and the Canarias one is a little bit difference. In Canarias transvestites custome themselves as if they are women and their costumes look like to the Rio de Janeiro ones. Canarias' Carnaval: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZMJNswgQXg We suppose that at Aalst Carnaval you consume lots of litres of beer, due to the question you have done. However in Spain we normally start drinking at night and above all we drink cocktails with our friends while the competition is taking place. Here you have some photos of us. Canarias Carnival Each year is celebrated a “Comparsa” competition in Cádiz and it takes place in the theatre Falla. Winners of 2016 competition: “Si me pongo pesao me lo dices” We have celebrated this weekend carnival in our town and we have disguised of Edward Scissorshands and others of “Tuna” which is a student music group.
